Summer Solstice Growth

Our journey began with the East gate in the spring, and we are now ready to walk through the South gate as the Summer Solstice is now upon us. On June 21st, the Sun will stand still once again before reversing direction and beginning its journey towards the Harvest time in the fall. The Sun’s power is most potent on this day, as it has reached the highest point in the sky and signifies the longest day and shortest night of the year.

In the spring, we planted specific thought-seeds that we wanted to grow in our lives, which have become plants with roots that are now rapidly developing and maturing. The Summer Solstice is a time to become conscious and focus on what it is that we are growing in our mental garden. We may need to pull out some weeds and uproot those thoughts that are not serving our greatest good, which are working against us so that we may water and feed those flowering thought-plants that we do want to bring to fruition.

May we use the light of this sacred time to celebrate the maturity and ripening growth of our heart and mind. Aho! May this be so!
